RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SUCH DOCUMENTS AND TAKE SUCH ACTIONS AS
MAY BE DEEMED NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE CITY'S
SECOND YEAR ACTION PLAN OF THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN
WHEREAS, the city of San Bernardino, California (the
"ci ty" ), is a municipal corporation and a charter city duly
created and existing pursuant to the Constitution and the laws of
the State of california; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission of the
Ci ty of San Bernardino (the "Commission") on behalf of the
Redevelopment Agency of the city of San Bernardino (the
"Agency"), is a redevelopment agency, a public body, corporate
and politic of the State of California, organized and existing
pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of
Division 24) commencing with section 33000 of the Health and
Safety Code of the State of California (the "Act)"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously authorized the
establishment of a Second Year Action Plan of the Consolidated
Plan for fiscal year 1996-97 pertaining to the receipt and use by
the Development Department of the City's Economic Development
Agency of Federal Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Second Year Action Plan of the

consolidated Plan seeks to use Federal Grant Funds from various

ources, including but not limited to Community Development Block
3
rant Funds, Horne Investment Partnership Act Funds and Emergency
4
hel ter Grant Program Funds and in order to implement said
5
rograms, the City deems it necessary to authorize the Mayor to
6
xecute such documents with subrecipients of the Federal grant

und monies as may be deemed appropriate by city staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The Council hereby authorizes the Mayor
13 to execute any and all subcontracts and for memoranda of
14 understanding with prospective fund recipients as well as such
]5 documents as may be necessary in order to implement the City's
]6 Consolidated Plan and further authorizes the Mayor and the
17 Director of the City's Development Department to take such
18 actions as may be deemed necessary in order to implement the
]9 terms and conditions of the city's Second Year Action plan
20 Consolidated Plan.

The findings and determinations herein
SECTION 2.

shall be final and conclusive.
This Resolution shall take effect
upon the date of its adoption.
RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SUCH DOCUMENTS AND
TAKE SUCH ACTIONS AS MAY BE DEEMED NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE
CITY'S SECOND YEAR ACTION PLAN OF THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 6th day of Mav
