HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-062 RES 96-62 " 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 96-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO GIVING NOTICE INVITING COMPETITIVE SEALED AND ORAL BIDS FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY SAID CITY, GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SIERRA WAY AND 7TH STREET (pIONEER MEMORIAL CEMETERY) IN SAID CITY, ESTABLISHING A MINIMUM SALE PRICE FOR SAID PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, a municipal corporation, is the owner of the hereinafter described parcel of real property situated in the city of San Bernardino, state of California; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino find and determine that there is no necessity for the City's ownership of Pioneer Memorial Cemetery; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino believe it to be in the best interest of the said City that said parcel of real property be disposed of at the highest price obtainable in the open market, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Notice is hereby giyen inviting competitive sealed and oral bid proposals for the disposition of the following real property, more particularly described in and subject to the terms of Specification No. 15.05-210 on file in the office of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Real Property Section, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California, and generally described as follows: A cemetery totalling approximately 30 acres containing two masonry buildings of approximately 150 square feet and 600 square feet respectiyely. The cemetery is located at 211 E. 9th St. in the City of San Bernardino. SECTION 2.
