RESOLUTION NO. 96-27
4 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO, ACCEPTING A CORPORATION GRANT DEED FROM THE LOYAL
5 ORDER OF MOOSE, SAN BERNARDINO, LODGE #476, FOR A PORTION OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1295 WEST 48TH STREET, AND DEDICATING THE
6 PROPERTY FOR WATER DEPARTMENT USE.

8 WHEREAS, the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department is
9 involved in a project to cleanup groundwater contamination in the
10 Bunker Hill Basin, in particular, the Newmark superfund Cleanup
11 Site; and
12 WHEREAS, a part of the cleanup involved developing a well
13 field to prevent the contaminants from migrating further in the
14 water basin; and
15 WHEREAS, the acquisition of a portion of 1295 West 48th Street
16 is necessary for the placement of wells for this project.
17 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
18 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
19 SECTION ONE: The City of San Bernardino hereby accepts the
20 corporation Grant Deed from The Loyal Order of Moose, San
21 Bernardino, Lodge #476, for property known as 1295 West 48th
22 Street, as set forth in Exhibit "1" attached hereto and
23 incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at
24 length herein.
25 SECTION TWO: That the property acquired herein is dedicated
26 for Water Department use.
27 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
28 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the city of San

That portion of the West one-half of the Southwest one-quarter of Section 16, Township 1
North, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Base & Meridian, in the Rancho Muscupiabe, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, according to the official plat thereof, described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the west line of said Section 16, said point being North 00022'00"
West 762.00 feet from the intersection of said line with the northerly line of Kendall Drive,
80 feet wide; thence N89"39'34" East 60.00 feet; thence North 00022'00" West 60.00 feet;
