HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-215 1 RESOLUTION NO: 97-2l5 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 SAN BERNARDINO DETERMINING FAIR MARKET VALUE AND SALES PRICE OF $70,300 AND DECLARING THE INTENTION TO SELL THAT CERTAIN REAL 4 PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF TENTH STREET, EAST OF FLORES STREET TO THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER SAID SALE. 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 7 SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS: 8 SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require the sale of public property 9 10 generally located on the south side of Tenth Street, East of Flores Street in the City of San Bernardino to the San Bernardino City Unified School District for the purpose of constructing a 11 12 senior high school, which would be of significant benefit to the public. 13 SECTION 2. It is therefor the intention of the Mayor and Common Council to sell said 14 property to the San Bernardino City Unified School District. 15 SECTION 3. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and determine that 16 17 the Fair Market Value of the property and sales price is $70,300.00. 18 19 20 SECTION 4. The Mayor and Common Council do hereby set a public hearing to be held on Monday, August 18, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, relative to the 21 22 23 proposed sale. SECTION 5. Notice of the hearing shall be published in The Sun, a newspaper of 24 general circulation, at least once prior to the hearing and shall be posted in at least 3 conspicuous 25 places on the property for at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing. 26 27 28 SECTION 6.
