HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-199 1 RESOLUTION NO. 97-199 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS A BALLOT MEASURE 3 RELATING TO THE CITY'S SERVICE USERS TAX 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 5 SECTION 1. Recitals. 6 (a) California Constitution, Article XIII C, Section 2(b) requires that no local 7 government may impose, extend, or increase any general tax unless and until that tax is submitted 8 9 to the electorate and approved by a majority vote. (b) Pursuant to this authority, the Mayor and Common Council have adopted Ordinance No. MC-999, subject to the approval of a majority of the voters. SECTION 2. Submittal to Electors.
