HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-156 1 RESOLUTION NO. 97-156 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING AN ADDENDUM TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR 3 AMBULANCE TRANSPORT SERVICES WITH AMERICA MEDICAL RESPONSE 4 (AMR) AMBULANCE SERVICES OF SAN BERNARDINO 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to approve an addendum to the 7 8 Memorandum of Understanding (initiated May 4,1995 - expired May 1, 1997) for ambulance 9 transport services with AMR in a form as attached hereto as Exhibit A 10 SECTION 2. PENMAN 10 City Attorney 11 12 /7 ..e~ 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 2 .' 9.7-156 , ADDENDUM TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AMBULANCE TRANSPORT SERVICES This addendum is to modiry the Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") of May 4, 1995 between the City of San Bernardino ("City") and Courtesy Service of San Bernardino, Inc. ("Courtesy"). American Medical Response (" AMR") is the successor in interest to Courtesy. City and A.\fR agree to modiry Section I.ofthe MOU relating to the Tenn of the MOU which was to expire on May I, 1997. In order to comply with the Order issued by the California Supreme Court on April 23, 1997, City and A,\IfR agree to extend the tenn of the MOU for a period of90 days following the date on which the California Supreme Court issues its final opinion in litigation entitled Countv of San Bernardino. et at. v.
