RESOLUTION NO. 98-237
RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A BAR
CODE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MODULE AS AN ADDITION TO THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT'S EXISTING RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
(RMS).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The San Bernardino Police Department is installing a new
Tiburon Public Safety Records Management System. Presently, property retained by
the Police Department is managed by a card based inventory system that is not part

of the new automated system.
13 SECTION 2. The Purchasing Manager of the City of San Bernardino is

authorized to issue purchase orders allowing the Police department to expend a
15

maximum of $ 30,257.00 for the purchase of a Property Room Bar Coding System
from Tiburon Incorporated to automate the Property Room inventory process.

SECTION 3. The Purchasing Manager of the City of San Bernardino is also
19

authorized to issue purchase orders allowing the Police Department to expend a
maximum of$ 2,743.00 for the purchase of a desktop computer to house the
21
22 Property Bar Code System, and for bar code printer supplies.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 17th day of August , 1998, by the following vote, to wit:
