RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT TO VAN HERRICKS LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS BEGINNING ON JULY 1, 1998 AND TERMINATING ON JUNE 30, 2001, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-99-08, ANNEXES B AND D. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Van Herricks Landscape Maintenance is the lowest and best responsible bidder for the furnishing and delivery of landscape maintenance services for a period of three (3) years beginning July l, 1998 and terminating on June 30, 200l, in accordance with Bid Specification F-99-08, Annexes Band D, for the total amount of $398,868; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for the first year period of July 1, 1998 to June 30, 1999, in the amount of $l32,956 for said landscape contract services with subsequent purchase orders to be issued annually for the remaining two (2) years of the agreement to said lowest and best responsible bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the purchasing Manager; and all other quotations therefore are hereby rejected. SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced purchase order is rescinded if it is not issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.
