PENMAN City Attorney ~ 11) By: ~ . ,; c/WrV-<"-,., /1 \_J 24 25 26 27 28 -2- 98-70 l: ~ FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PUBLIC SERVICE AGREEMENT TillS FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement 97-101 referred to as ("Amendment"), is made and entered into this ~ day of MARCH 1998 by and between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a Municipal Corporation, referred to as ("City"), and TlJF, SALVA nON ARMY, a nonprofit community service organization, referred to as ("Subrecipient"). City and Subrecipient agree as follows: WITNESSETH Community Development Block Grant Whereas, City and Subrecipient have previously entered into agreement 97-101 dated JULY 1.1997, referred to as ("Agreement"), for an BUILDING HOPE PROGRAM. and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to amend said agreement to include the subrecipient's completion of the services; and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to increase the amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/I00 Dollars ($5,000.00) as part of the Fiscal Year 1996/1997 Mid year Reallocation process approved on January 12, 1998. Now therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein set forth and the mutual benefit to be derived there from, the parties agree as follows: 1. Add to Section 1 (b) Recitals (Exhibit" A") 2. Change the first sentence in Section 2 Payments. City shall reimburse Subrecipient for allowable costs, incurred under the scope of this TNT:slvtnanny97 AMND 97-101 98-70 L.; , Agreement within applicable Federal regulations, which have not been paid for. Reimbursement will be made, at least on a monthly basis, and the total of all reimbursements will not exceed FOURTEEN THOUSAND AND NO/I00 ($14,000.00). IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to be executed on the date and year first hereinabove written. Funds will be used to pay for: Salaries/fringe benefits of a client "case worker." Professional services, such as accountants. Mileage for case worker. Bus tokens for clients. Utilities, prorated for that portion of the building used for the Building Hope Program, to include: electric, gas, water and phone, Insurance. Office Supplies (not equipment). Personal items for clients inlcuding: clothing, personal care only. 2. Total funding is not to exceed $14,000.
