RESOLUTION NO. 98-8
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ACCEPTING THE
APPRAISER'S DETERMINATION OF FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF SLOPE EASEMENTS FROM CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND
LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF KENDALL DRIVE, SOUTH OF ARROWHEAD
AVENUE, CERTIFYING THE WORK OF THE APPRAISER AND AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF SAID EASEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino is contemplating the acquisition slope easements
from real property located along the East side of Kendall Drive, South of Arrowhead Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the parcels from which the easements are to be acquired are known as
Assessor's Parcels 0152-022-24 (Parcel No.1), 0152-022-25 (Parcel No.2), 0152-022-40 (Parcel
No.3) and 0152-223-01 (Parcel No.4) and is more fully described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the Appraiser's determination of the fair market value
of the land and his report thereon, as submitted by Realco Consultants, dated December II, 1997;
and
WHEREAS, the City intends to acquire said easements with City funds
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the fair market value of the easements to be acquired, as submitted in
the Appraiser's report, is hereby determined and established to be Four Thousand One-Hundred
Forty dollars ($4,140.00) for Parcel No. I, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety dollars ($1,690.00)
for Parcel No.2, One Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Five dollars ($1,125.00) for Parcel No.3
and One Thousand Fifty dollars ($1,050.00) for Parcel No.4.
SECTION 2. The City of San Bernardino does hereby certify that the work of the
Appraiser has been performed in a competent manner in accordance with applicable laws and

Slope Easement:
That portion of the South one-half of Lot 6, Block 22, Tract No. 1733, Thompson Brothers Poultry Colony, as
per Map recorded in Book 26 of Maps, Pages 7 through 12 inclusive, records of the County recorder of said
County described as follows:
A 12.00 foot strip ofland lying Easterly of, parallel with and adjacent to the East line of Kendall Drive, as
conveyed to the City of San Bernardino by deed recorded July I I, 1928 in Book 429 of Official Records, Page
384. The Easterly and Westerly lines of said 12.00 foot strip commence on the North line of said South one-
half of Lot 6 and terminate on the South line of said Lot 6.
