RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DESIGNATING
3 SIGNATORY AUTHORITY FOR FEDERAL CAPITAL ASSISTANCE
TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITY (TEA) FUNDS TO RESTORE AND

RESOLUTION NO. 1999-258
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, Recitals
(a) WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino is desirous of implementing a project with

TEA funds to restore and rehabilitate the San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot; and
(b) WHEREAS, procedures and criteria established by the San Bernardino Associated

12 Governments require a resolution certifying signatory authority by the City of San Bernardino
13 Mayor and Common Council; and

(c) WHEREAS, the application contains assurances regarding compliance with TEA
Funding requirements with which the City of San Bernardino must comply; and
(d) WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, if approved, will enter into an agreement
17
18 with the San Bernardino Associated Governments to carry out the Transportation Enhancement
19 Activities (TEA) project.

SECTION 2, Declarations
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
Bernardino:
That Judith Valles, Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to
apply for funds and, if recommended for funding, conduct all negotiations, execute and
submit all documents including, but not limited to, the application, amendments, and all
other necessary documents to implement and carry out the purposes of this resolution,

That the City of San Bernardino agrees to commit matching funds as described in the
respective grant stipulations.
That the City of San Bernardino will cause work on the project to be commenced within
a reasonable time after receipt of notification that funds have been approved and that
the project will be carried to completion with reasonable diligence,
That the City of San Bernardino certifies that, upon completion of the project, adequate
provisions will be made for the continuing operation and maintenance for the life of the
project.
