HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-165 , ~ , 1 1999-165 RESOLUTION NO. 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, SUCCESSOR TO THE SOUTH SAN BERNARDINO COUNT 4 WATER DISTRICT, ASSESSING PROPERTIES WITHIN THE PREVIOUS DISTRICT BOUNDARIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,912.50 FOR THE FISCAL YEA 5 1999/2000. 6 WHEREAS, the people of the South San Bernardino County Water 7 District voted in 1958 to incur a bond indebtedness of 8 9 $400,000.00 for the purchase of certain improvements of the District; and 10 WHEREAS, the District has issued and sold Series "e" 11 Waterworks bonds in the amount of $150,000.00; and 12 WHEREAS, the District, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local 13 Governmental Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 5600), 14 merged with the City of San Bernardino effective August 1, 1991; 15 and 16 WHEREAS, a condition of the merger includes that the City 0 17 San Bernardino shall be the successor agency within the 18 jurisdiction of the Board of Water Commissioners; with the 19 successor assuming responsibilities, all rights, agency 20 properties, equipment, contracts, assets and liabilities, and 21 functions of the South San Bernardino County Water District; and 22 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino requires the total su~ 23 of $13,912.50 for the principal and interest payment during 24 1999/2000. 25 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCI 26 OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO to assess all assessable 27 within the boundaries of the previous South San Bernardino Count 28 Water District for the total amount of $13,912.50 for the -1- 1999-165 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, SUCCESSOR TO THE SOUTH SAN BERNARDIN COUNTY WATER DISTRICT, ASSESSING PROPERTIES WITHIN THE PREVIOUS DISTRICT BOUNDARIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,912.50 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1999/2000 1 1999/2000 Fiscal Year; to require the County of San Bernardino 2 3 Auditor/Controller to compute the tax rate; and to collect said sum through the County of San Bernardino Tax Collector. 4 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 5 6 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a joint regular 7 6th day of 8 vote to wit: 9 COUNCIL MEMBERS: 10 ESTRADA 11 12 LIEN 13 McGINNIS 14 SCHNETZ 15 DEVLIN 16 ANDERSON 17 MILLER 18 19 20 21 The foregoing 22 day of July 23 24 meeting thereof, held on the July , 1999, by the following AYES NAYES ABSTAIN ABSENT x x x x x x x Q.~u/0.~ ~G.
