I 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 1999-138 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING COST OF 3 ABATEMENTS AND IMPOSING LIENS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY 4 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES. (Building Abatements) 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN 6 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1. The City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority under San 8 Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 15.28 and otller laws, did lawfully cause public nuisance 9 abatements on the real property described in Exhibit n A", attached hereto and incorporated 10 11 herein by reference as tllough fully set forth. The last known owners of record as to each such 12 parcel are also specified in Exhibit "A". 13 Due notice was given to the person or persons having an interest in said property and a 14 hearing was held by the Board of Building Commissioners to hear protest and to assess tlle cost 15 Notice of tlle right to appeal to the Mayor and Common Council has been issued to all affected 19 property holders. The Board of Building Commissioners now requests that the Mayor and 20 Common Council confirm the imposition of the liens. 21 SECTION 2. The matter having now come before the Mayor and Common 22 Council for confirmation of the imposition of the liens imposed, the following costs are found 23 to have been duly incurred by the City pursuant to the proceedings under said 24 25 II 26 II 27 II 28 1999-138 1 2 3 4 5 6 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING COST OF ABATEMENTS AND IMPOSING LIENS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES. (Building Abatements) provisions of the San Bernardino Municipal Code and tlle final statements of costs on file with the City Clerk are hereby confirmed and adopted as special assessments against the properties listed in Exhibit "A" hereto. 7 8 SECTION 3. If said sum is not fully paid to tlle City Clerk, City Hall, San 9 Bernardino within five (5) days after mailing a notice to the person or persons having an interest 10 in said property informing said person or persons of the adoption of tllis resolution as to any 11 12 13 14 such individual parcel, tllen said sum shall be and become a lien on said property pursuant to said Municipal Code provisions and applicable laws and shall be collected as a special assessment thereon. SECTION 4. In the event said sum is not paid as hereinabove provided, the City 15 16 Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Auditor of the County 17 18 of San Bernardino, State of California, directing that sum be entered as lien charges against said property as it appears on the current assessment rolls, to be collected as the same and in tlle for the City of San Bernardino are collected.
