2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO WHICH AMENDS
CHAPTER 1.16 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO REESTABLISH
3 THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SEVEN WARDS OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. This ordinance is adopted in order to divide the area of the City of San
7 Bernardino into seven wards pursuant to Section 3 of the Charter of said City.
8 SECTION 2. Sections 1.16.020, 1.16.030, 1.16.040, 1.16.050, 1.16.060, 1.16.070 and 1.16.
9 080 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
10 "1.16.020 First Ward.
1 I The boundaries of the first ward of the City shall be as follows:
12 All that area within the present corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino described as
13 follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Waterman Avenue and Mill
14 Street; thence south along said centerline of W aterman Avenue to the north line of the Santa
15 Ana River; thence easterly, along said north line to its intersection with the centerline of
16 Mountain View Avenue, said point also being on the corporate City limit line of the City of
17 San Bernardino; thence north, along said corporate City limit line and following its various
18 courses and distances to the east line of the San Bernardino County Twin Creek Flood
19 Control Channel lying within Lot I, Block I of Base Line Gardens, Tract No. 1964 as per
20 plat recordcd in Book 28 of Maps, page 46, records of the County Recorder of San
21 Bernardino County, State of California; thence south, leaving said corporate City limit line,
22 along said east line to the centerline of Base Line Street; thence west, along said centerline
23 of said Base Line Street, to lhe centerline of said Waterman Avenue; thence south along said
24 centerline of Waterman Avenue, to the centerline of 11th Strect; thence west along said
25 centerline of II th Street to the centerline of Sierra Way; thence south along said centerline
26 of Sierra Way, to the centerline of 9th Street; thence west along said centerline of 9th Street,
27 to the centerline of the 1-215 Freeway; thence north along said centerline of the 1-215
28 Freeway, to the centerline of 16th Street; thence west along said centerline of 16th Street, to

10 centerline of 4 th Street; thence east along said centerline of 4th Street, to the centerline of Mt.
II Vernon Avenue; thence south along said centerline ofMt. Vernon Avenue, to the centerline
12 of Rialto Avenue; thence east along said centerline of Rialto A venue, to the centerline of "E"
13 Street; thence south along said centerline of "E" Street, to the centerline of said Mill Street;
14 thence east along said centerline of Mill Street to the centerline of Waterman Avenue and the
1 5 point of beginning.
16 "1.16.030 Second Ward.
17 The boundaries of the second ward of the City shall be as follows;
18 All that area within the present corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino described as
19 follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Highland Avenue and "H" Street;
20 thence north along said centerline of "H" Street to the centcrline of California State Route
21 259; thence northeasterly along said centerline of California State Route 259 to the
22 intersection of California State Route 210 (formerly California State Route 30); thence west
23 along said centerline of California State Route 210 to the centerline of the 1-215 Freeway;
24 thence south along said centerline of the 1-215 Freeway to said centerlinc of Highland
25 Avenue; thence east along said centerline of Highland Avenue to said centerline of California
26 State Route 259; thence south along said centerline of California State Route 259 to the
27 centerline of said 1-215 Freeway; thence south along said centerline of the 1-215 Freeway to
28 the centerline of 9th Street; thence east along said centerline of 9 th Street to the centerline

16 along said centerline of Waterman Avenue to the north line of the Santa Ana River; thence
17 easterly, along said north line of the Santa Ana River and following its various courses and
18 distances to ,he centerline of Mountain View A venue, said point also being on the corporate
19 City limit line ofthe City of San Bernardino; thence south, along said centerline of Mountain
20 View Avenue and said corporate City limit line and following its various courses and
21 distances to the intersection of the centerlines of Mill Street and Eucalyptus Avenue; thence
22 east along said centerline of Mill Street to the centerline of Meridian A venue; thence north
23 along said centerline of Meridian Avenue to the westerly prolongation of the north line of

9 The boundaries of the fourth ward of the City shall be as follows:

12 Boulevard; thence north along said centerline of "F" Street to its intersection with the north

14 Recorder Jf San Bernardino County, State of California; thence northwesterly along said
15 Muscupiabe Rancho line to an angle point on the corporate City limit line of the City of San
16 Bernardino; thence north along said corporate City limit line and following its various
17 courses and distances to the intersection of the centerlines of Highland Avenue and Victoria
18 Avenue; thence north and continuing along said corporate City line and following its various
19 courses and distances to the centerline of California State Route 210 (formerly California
20 State Route 30); thence northwesterly and leaving said corporate City limit line along said
21 centerline of California State Route 30 to the centerline of Arden A venue; thence north along
22 said centerline of Arden Avenue to an angle point on said corporate City limit line; thence

19 centerlines of Hill Drive and Mountain Drive; thence north and leaving said corporate City
20 limit line to the centerline of said Northpark Boulevard; thence east along said centerline of
21 Northpark Boulevard to the centerline of said "F" Street and the point of beginning.
22 "1.16.060 Fifth Ward.
23 The boundaries of the fifth ward of the City shall be as follows:
24 All that area within the present corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, described as
25 follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of "F" Street and Northpark
26 Boulevard; thence north along said centerline of "F" Street to the north line of the
27 Muscupiabe Rancho as shown in Book 7 of Maps, page 23, records of the County Recorder
28 of San Bernardino County, State of California; thence northwesterly along said Muscupiabe
