Home My WebLink About2000-080 RESOLUTION NO. 2000-80 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING COST OF ABATEMENTS AND IMPOSING LIENS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES. (Building Abatements) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority under San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 15.28 and other laws, did lawfully cause public nuisance abatements on the real property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated 10 herein by reference as though fully set forth. The last known owners of record as to each such 11 12 13 parcel are also specified in Exhibit "A". Due notice was given to the person or persons having an interest in said property and a hearing was held by the Hearing Officer to hear protest and to assess the cost of said 14 abatement on said property. The Hearing Officer has entered its order determining the cost to 15 16 be reasonable and proper and imposing a lien upon the property involved. Notice of the right to appeal to the Board of Building Commissioners has been issued to all affected property 17 18 holders. 19 SECTION 2. The matter having now come before the Mayor and Common 20 Council for confirmation of the imposition ofthe liens imposed, the following costs are found 21 to have been duly incurred by the City pursuant to the proceedings under said provisions of 22 the San Bernardino Municipal Code and the final statements of costs on file with the Code 23 24 25 26 II 27 28 Compliance Division are hereby confIrmed and adopted as special assessments against the properties listed in Exhibit "A" hereto. 2000-80 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING COST OF ABATEMENTS AND IMPOSING LIENS ON CERAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES. (Building Abatements) SECTION 3. If said sum is not fully paid to the Code Compliance Division, City Hall, San Bernardino within five (5) days after mailing a notice to the person or persons having an interest in said property informing said person or persons of the adoption of this resolution as to any such individual parcel, then said sum shall be and become a lien on said property pursuant to said Municipal Code provisions and applicable laws and shall be 10 collected as a special assessment thereon. 11 12 13 SECTION 4. In the event said sum is not paid as hereinabove provided, the Code Compliance Division is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, State of California., directing that sum to be 14 entered as lien charges against said property as it appears on the current assessment rolls, to 15 be collected as the same and in the same manner, subject to the same penalties and interest 16 17 18 upon delinquencies, as the general taxes for the City of San Bernardino are collected.
