Dear Mr. Meyrahn:
Enclosed you will find our proposal for the Casa Ramona Drop In Center for Fiscal
year 2001-2002 .
Once again, this year we are not asking for an increase in our funding, Although the
new Census figures show that our Hispanic Community continues to grow, and we
know we can always use additional dollars, we will do all we can to stay within our
existing budget. The demand for services continues to grow because of so many
people being monolingual Spanish speaking. The Drop In Center continues to be
the place people come to for translations, filling out of forms, Christmas baskets and
toys, Turkeys at Thanksgiving, typing of letters, referral assistance, etc, The public's
trust is something we do not take lightly, All the people who come to Casa Ramona
have one thing in common, they need help, Next year' program is basically the same,
and we will continue to assist as many people as possible.
Of course we can only do this programs with the help of our funding sources. The
city's funding of this program continues to be the life line for many people in our
community.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
