" , .' 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 2002-251 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL AND $30,000 LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT FOR A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL 4 JUSTICE: CONTEXT-SENSITIVE PLANNING FOR COMMUNITIES PROGRAM. 5 6 WHEREAS, The California Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation 7 Planning provides grants to promote Environmental .lustice: Context-Sensitive Planning for 8 Communities. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to Metropolitan Planning 9 Organizations, Regional Transportation Planning Agencies, cities, counties, and other various 10 11 12 public and private non-profit organizations. An estimated $3.0 million in grants will be available for FY2002/03, pending approval of the final state budget. Proposed projects should have a clear focus on transportation and community development issues that address the interests of low- 13 14 15 16 (EJ): Context-Sensitive Planning for Communities Program. The project application, which 17 18 19 20 income, minority, Native Americans, or any other underrepresented group.
