BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino hereby authorize the obligation and expenditure of the allocated Citizens' Option for Public Safety monies in the amount of $289,138. All expenditures will be used to supplement front-line law enforcement services as defined in AB3229 as outlined in the COPS Option attached expenditure plan submitted by the Chief of Police (Exhibit" A"). The remaining funding will be derived from the General Fund. FY 031 04 LLEBG Grant Match The Police Department is the recipient of $336,649 in federal funding from the FY 03/04 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant award. There is a mandatory ten-percent (10%) cash match requirement of $37,406 that will be derived from the COPS Option program (raising the Block Grant total to $374,055).
