HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-224 ~ .. , .. 1 Resolution No. 2003-224 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ELECTING TO CEASE TO BE SUBJECT TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT FOR THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO EMPLOYEES IN THE GENERAL UNIT 3 4 WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22853 provides that a contracting agency which 5 has elected to be subject to the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act (hereinafter 6 "Act") may cease to be so subject by proper application by the contracting agency; and 7 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino (hereinafter "Contracting Agency") is a 8 contracting agency under the Act for participation by members of the General Unit. 9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 10 11 SECTION 1. That the General Unit members of the Contracting Agency elect, and the 12 Contracting Agency does hereby elect, to cease to be subject to the provisions of the Act. 13 SECTION 2. That coverage of the Act cease on December 31, 2003. 14 SECTION 3.
