3 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, SUCCESSOR TO THE SOUTH SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY WATER
4 DISTRICT, ASSESSING PROPERTIES WITHIN THE PREVIOUS DISTRICT
BOUNDARIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,975.00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
5 2004/2005.
6 WHEREAS, the people of the South San Bernardino County Water
7 District (District) voted in 1958 to incur a bond indebtedness of
8 $400,000 for the purchase of certain improvements of the District;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, the District, in 1988, issued and sold Series "C"
11 Waterworks bonds in the amount of $150,000; and
12 WHEREAS, the District, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local
13 Governmental Reorganization Act (Government Code Section 5600)'
14 merged with the City of San Bernardino effective August 1, 1991; and
15 WHEREAS, a condition of the merger includes that the Board of
16 Water Commissioners shall be the successor agency within the
17 jurisdiction of the City of San Bernardino, with the successor
18 agency, assuming all rights, responsibilities, properties,
19 equipment, contracts, assets and liabilities, and functions of the
20 district; and
21 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino requires the total sum of
22 $11,975.00 for the principal and interest payment during 2004/2005.
23 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of
24 the City of San Bernardino to assess all assessable parcels within
25 the boundaries of the previous District for the total amount of
26 $11,975.00 for the fiscal year 2004/2005, to require the County of
27 San Bernardino Auditor/Controller to compute the tax rate, and to
28 collect said sum through the County of San Bernardino Tax Collector.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
