MOTION: That the Mayor and Common Council and the
Community Development Commission recess to closed

significant exposure to litigation - pursuant to subdivision
(b) (1), (2), (3) (A-F) of Government Code Section 54956.9.
C. Conference with legal counsel - anticipated litigation -

2. Budget deliberations - Fiscal Year 2001/02 - discuss and take
possible action concerning proposed City and EDA budgets.

Resolution of the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino, California, authorizing the City of San
Bernardino to continue expenditures at the budgeted level
for 2000-01 fiscal year, pending final approval of the 2001-
02 budget.
B. Resolution of the Community Development Commission of
the City of San Bernardino, California, authorizing the
Economic Development Agency to continue expenditures at
the budgeted level for 2000-01 fiscal year, pending final
approval of the 2001-02 budget.

Animal Control
4. Establish four (4) additional part-time Animal License Checker
positions - Animal Control Division. (See Attached)

That the Mayor and Common Council authorize
the addition of four (4) part-time Animal Control
License Checker positions at $10.00/hour in the
Animal Control Division;
That the Mayor and Common Council direct the
Human Resources Departmen t to update
Resolution No. 6413, Section Thirteen, and
Resolution No. 97-244, to reflect this particular
action; and
That the Finance Director be authorized to
amend the Animal Control Division budget to
reflect the revenues and expenditures in the
staff report.
City Clerk
5. Reorganization of the City Clerk's Administrative Division. (See
Attached)
MOTION # 1: That the Mayor and Common Council delete one
(1) Account Clerk III position, Range 1316
($2, 147-$2,609/month), and;
MOTION #2: That one (1) vacant Deputy City Clerk position
Range 3422 ($3,642-$4,427/month), be deleted;
and
MOTION #3: That one (1) Typist Clerk III position be
established, Range 1287, ($1,858-
$2,258/month); and
MOTION #4: That a Records Management Coordinator
position be established, Range 3400, ($3,264-
$3,967/month); and

6. Reorganization of Facilities Management - Fiscal Year 2001-02.

$6,403/month); and
That one position of Building Maintenance

Eleven and Fourteen, and Resolution 97-244, to
reflect these particular actions; and
That the Director of Finance be authorized to
amend the FY 2001-02 Facilities Management
budget by $11,400 to reflect the above actions.

That the salary of the Deputy City Treasurer
position be upgraded from Range 1306 ($2,147-
$2,609/month) to Range 1378 ($2,925-
$3,555/month); and
That the Director of Human Resources be
authorized to update salary Resolution 6413,
and position control Resolution 97-244, as
necessary to reflect the motions above.

9. Establish one additional position of Sanitation Route Supervisor in
the Refuse Division of the Public Services Department. (See
Attached)

Refuse Division of the Public Services

That the Finance Department be authorized to
amend the FY 2001-02 Refuse budget by
$47, 100 to reflect the addition of one ( 1)
Sanitation Route Supervisor.

Police
11. Authorize the addition of one Lieutenant position In the Police
Department. (See Attached).
MOTION #1:
That the Mayor and Common Council add one
position of Lieutenant, Range P-5, current salary
of $7,721/month, in the Police Department; and
MOTION #2:
That the Human Resources Department be
directed to update Resolution No. 97-244 to
reflect this particular action; and
MOTION #3:
That the Finance Director be authorized to
increase the Police Department's FY 2001-02
budget by $126,100 to reflect the new
Lieutenant position.
